Strong Students and Outcomes
The middle 50% high school GPA for the Fall 2016 freshman class was 3.8-4.3; middle 50% SAT scores were 1160-1290; and middle 50% ACT Composite scores were 26-30.
Our students have received prestigious national scholarships and fellowships, including Rhodes Scholarships (2009, 2008 and 2005), Truman Scholarships, Fulbright Fellowships, a Goldwater Scholarship, a Pickering Graduate Foreign Affairs Fellowship, a Jack Kent Cooke Scholarship, a Fulbright Hays Award and a Rotary International Ambassadorial Scholarship.
There were 22 freshmen and 59 total undergraduate National Merit Scholars enrolled in Fall 2016. Florida State also ranked among the nation?s top-producing research institutions for Fulbright students with 11 students receiving awards in 2015-2016.
2015-2016 Florida State undergraduate alumni are pursuing graduate and professional degrees at top universities, including Australian National University, Cornell, Duke, Emory, Georgetown, Johns Hopkins, MIT, Northwestern, NYU, Royal College of Music, Tianjin University, UCLA, UNC Chapel Hill, University of Chicago, University of Texas, and Vanderbilt.
